What makes Caldera clean?
Every product meets our Clean Beauty Standard: ECOCERT and COSMOS Natural certified formulas, all-natural fragrances, and no parabens, sulfates or synthetic additives.
Where are your products made?
In the EU, mostly in Latvia, by a COSMOS and ISO 22716:2007 certified maker. The country of origin is printed on every box. US orders typically ship from our fulfillment partner in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Are your products vegan?
Many are. Each product page lists its certifications and claims, including Vegan, Gluten free and Nut free, so you can check before you buy.

Routines & skin
I have sensitive skin. Where should I start?
Start simple: our Sensitive Skin Face & Body Cleanser, the Microbiome Prebiotics Face Mist and the Moisturising Day Cream are a gentle trio (see The Gentle Reset). Patch test any new product on your inner arm for a day first.
Can I use glycolic acid and a retinol alternative together?
Our retinol alternatives use Bidens pilosa, which is gentle. Even so, introduce one active at a time. Use the Glycolic Acid Toner in the evening, start every other night, and wear SPF the next morning.

About Caldera
Why are your collections named after volcanoes?
Each collection is named for a real caldera: AIRA for the Aira Caldera in Japan, SANTORINI for the Greek island’s caldera, and LAGOA for the crater lakes of the Azores. A caldera is what’s left when a volcano gives everything it has and then fills with water and life. Powerful, then calm. Read our story.
